Gino McGowens was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the University of Cincinnati and majored in Political Science. He re-located to Los Angeles, California and started his sales career with the Xerox Corporation as an Account Executive in 1984. He transitioned into telecommunications with AT&T in 1991 as an Enterprise Account Manager. With over 20 years of experience in Account Management and Engineering with organizations like AT&T, Pacific Bell and Verizon Business. He has held various leadership positions of increasing responsibilities. Dynamic, entrepreneurial Sales Management professional with a history of achievement and demonstrated success driving multi-million dollar sales growth while providing award winning customer satisfaction in highly competitive markets. He returned to Cincinnati in 2012 and is currently the Senior Director of Member Relations for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce. Responsible for member recruitment, member retention, corporate relations and event management. An active member of various boards, the Greater Cincinnati Salvation Army Advisory Board, the WCPO-TV Community Advisory Board, WCPO Editorial Board and the Cincinnati Minority Business Collaborative. He enjoys playing baseball, golf, reading and spending time with his wife Deirdre and his adult children, Ronicole, Brandon, Cameron and Cori. Gino in 2016 founded a consulting company focusing on diversity, inclusion and marketing called The Herring Group LLC.
